Education for Developing Nations (EDeN) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that aims to fund school libraries for students in developing nations who don’t have access to reading material outside of their curriculum. As governments place little to no emphasis on libraries at school, millions of children lose the ability to enhance information literacy skills. School libraries not only foster a habit of self-education, but give students, especially those living in rural areas, the opportunity to educate themselves and gain a better understanding of the world around them. EDeN’s mission is to raise funds through numerous avenues to purchase books and run book drives to fund school libraries in rural areas.
